At Mala Movement Yoga & Wellness Co., our mission is to provide high-quality yoga and fitness classes that are accessible to every-body. Our class schedule is designed in order and on purpose, to give students incredible results. We believe that yoga and movement drastically improves physical, spiritual and mental health, and we are committed to making it available to all. We offer a 75 minute Ashtanga / Vinyasa yoga class set in a warm and humid environment; a constant flow of movements connecting breath to body combined with static posture holds to build lean physiques and strong minds. A modality using fluidity and breathing to synchronize fluid transitions through a fixed sequence of poses and flows. Set to heat of 90+ this class is a body & mind transformation. Modifications offered for all levels.
Come sweat and sculpt your body for 60 minutes; A heart pumper that includes isometric yoga, cardio, weights & a sweet savasana. Come burn fat, torch calories, reset your mind. A 360 workout, full body blaster with awesome music to get you pumped up and in the best shape of your life! Bring a friend!
These classes will begin Summer 2024, will include yoga postures and movements - including breathing, poses, games, stories, music, relaxation, meditation, and more. Your little yogi will get to practice fine and gross motor skills, social and group skills, learn the importance of taking care of your body & mind by learning mindfulness and breathing/calming tools. Your child will become stronger mentally and physically through this sacred world renowned practice. These classes are not religious based, they are a gift for your child's future - ALL are welcome here. Come as YOU ARE. This class will be 75 minutes long. Parents are asked to drop/pick up their child on-time, then enjoy some self care nearby on a nature walk or grab a snack at Red Rooster!
Mala Yochi - was born from the fusion of beginners Yoga and Tai Chi, blended together. Owner, Melissa Howard felt an opportunity brewing around how the two modalities could flow together creating a transformational experience for the mindset and the physical body. Experience truly arriving in the moment, using breathing techniques to connect mind and movement. Move through a series of holds for strength and balance, flow and stretch using your breath and mindset focus for agility and memory. This class was created for anyone new to movement in general, Seniors, anyone currently in physical therapy, and anyone looking to restore balance in body and mind. This is a slow, simple class and highly beneficial for all. Excellent class to simply slow down the body and mind.
Yin Yoga is a slower-paced, more meditative version of the physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) and facia rather than focusing on the muscles. Resulting in improved flexibility, inflammation reduction, pain elimination and a sense of calm. Immerse yourself in the hum of sound bowls, bells and the wave drum while opening the body and healing the soul. Excellent class for a date!
